Meet the presenters

Sara G

Sara joined QVC as a presenter two years ago after many years acting for stage and screen. She's appeared in top television shows like Dr Who and Emmerdale and plays in the West End. As a teenager, Sara was also a can-can dancer at the world-famous Moulin Rouge in Paris! When Sara isn't presenting on QVC you may recognise her voice on advertisements for everything from BT to L'Oreal.

Favourite Colour?

Some days white, some days pink, it depends on my mood. That's the beauty of colour.

Favourite Food?

Sushi

Favourite Book?

The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying or anything by Alain de Botton - they're all fantastic.

What's the first record you ever bought?

Denis by Blondie. It was on a Top of the Pops album compilation that also had Baker Street and Lilac Wine on it! The front cover had a woman in a leopard-skin cat-suit - how very now... then!

What's your idea of a perfect weekend?

Anywhere I can relax with someone I love, a bit of nice scenery and architecture - I'm quite partial to an interesting building, maybe a log fire and good food and wine!

What is the scariest thing you have ever done?

Walking on to the stage as an understudy at the National's Lyttleton Theatre. I had to take over the play from an actress who was sick. It was a scene opposite Bill Nighy and I hadn't done a run through of the play for weeks - you just pray all the lines are in there!

What's been your silliest moment at QVC?

Getting lost in the building without my door pass. I had to break out through the security door to get to the studio on time.

Tell me 3 things you'd take with you to a desert island

The dictionary - I find it fascinating, but I'm relieved to say I never have the time to actually 'read' it properly! Shakespeare's Folio - Nothing like a good story! A piano - I love to play, it helps me to relax and think.
